In order to achieve the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) learners must complete the 2 mandatory units.
Overview
The aim of the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) is to develop learner’s knowledge, understanding and skills of paediatric first aid specifically in providing first aid for an infant or child who is unresponsive and breathing normally, head and spinal injuries, an infant or child who has sustained an electric shock and how to complete records relating to illness, injuries and emergencies.
In achieving the Focus Awards Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) all learners will cover the essentials of assessing a situation safely and administering first aid to an infant and child with various medical conditions. Learner Assessment & Certification:
Each learner is required to create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit.
